Role description
The Geroe Unit is actively seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our team in a diverse working environment, encompassing a mixed medical-surgical ward, an Urgent Care Centre, and inpatient support for a Level 2 Maternity Service. This dynamic role involves working across all shifts, seven days a week, primarily on the medical-surgical ward, with additional support for the Urgent Care Centre and Maternity Unit as needed. The successful applicant will showcase strong clinical skills, exceptional communication, and collaboration abilities, along with the capacity to perform effectively under pressure. Ideally, candidates will have demonstrated recent experience in an acute/urgent care setting, emphasizing effective infection control practices and a dedicated commitment to continuous quality improvement. As a midwife you will be supporting the MGP midwives with inpatient antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care. About you
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent
- Comprehensive assessment, care planning, care delivery and evaluation skills
- Willingness to support inpatient maternity care
- Sound level of communication skills
- Commitment to collaborative practice and productive working relationships
