The Role:
The Production Coordinator is accountable for providing day to day product, production, and technical assistance to the Product Manager on all aspects of the product lifecycle. This position interacts with the Product team and plays a key role in centralising and coordinating communication with suppliers across the product development and production schedule following the product lifecycle from concept until the style is produced and shipped meeting agreed delivery targets.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop the selected product categories
- Creating quote packs for garment costing
- Price negotiations and shipment date confirmations with suppliers
- Conducting fit sessions with the Product Manager for all samples (original, counter, pre-production),
- Creating and sharing detailed fit session comments and instruction with suppliers
- Approving lab dips, hand looms, fabric qualities, accessories, washes, prints etc.
- Arrange all original samples, artworks, trims to suppliers to execute the order
- Responsible for all new styles from confirmed style handover to approved pre-production samples
- Manage production schedule in system - inputting all key production dates and update across the production cycle ensuring details are complete and accurate
- Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure timelines and deliveries are met
- Ensure suppliers adhere to critical delivery dates by proactively managing deadlines
The ideal candidate will possess these skills and qualities:
- We are looking for someone with +5 years product development, production management, manufacturing, and garment construction techniques experience
- Technical experience across fit, fitting sessions, construction and fabric are a must
- Strong knowledge of product development, production management, manufacturing, and garment construction techniques
- Strong fabric, fit and garment quality knowledge across both knit and woven fabrications
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers finding the balance between cost, quality and on time delivery
- Results-oriented, exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise, multi-task and deliver within deadlines
- Clear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively and support a point of view
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills including ability to work across all levels of the business
- High attention to detail and strength in execution
- A team player that thrives in a collaborative environment
