Your new company
Our client is a steel manufacturer who has been operating for over 100 years. They are an Australian business with factories across the nation. They manufacture a range of products for the construction industry and are a well known brand.
Your new role
As the Production Coordinator, you will work hand in hand with the Logistics Coordinator and liaise with the company's clients to proactively manage the timely production of products ready for delivery. You will provide updates internally and externally, plan and monitor the manufacturing schedule to account for last minute jobs and a smooth job flow in the factory. You will also ensure all relevant drawings and documents are linked to schedules and provide updates to manage delays when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need a high attention to detail and demonstrated experience in a similar position. You will also;
- Have good computer skills and be able to pick up new systems quickly.
- Have a focus on providing great customer service and the ability to manage customer expectations.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- A background working in construction, manufacturing or logistics businesses is preferred.
What you'll get in return
- This role will start on a temporary contractor basis for your initial probation period, meaning you will be paid an attractive hourly rate to accommodate for leave entitlements.
- You will have one dedicated Hays consultant who will work closely with you throughout your assignment and liaise with you as you progress through to an opportunity for a permanent role with the client.
- If successful in transferring to a permanent role, you will be paid a salary of $80,000 - $85,000 including super.
