Job description
As the PO2 Conservation Officer, you will participate in a multi-disciplinary team to implement, advise on, and continuously improve strategies and procedures relating to the South-East Queensland Koala Monitoring Program. You will be responsible for field work planning, data collection and management, and supporting technical staff. Maintaining the safety and well-being of all staff will be a high priority. You will also assist in the preparation and coordination of briefing notes, program plans, submissions, reports and correspondence. A priority for this role will be to engage and build collaborative relationships with private landholders, local government agencies, other departmental units, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, natural resource management groups, and nongovernment organisations.
