Consignment Officer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consignment Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and providing essential support to our Operations team. The ideal candidate should be organised, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory management, livestock handling and tracking.
• Overseeing of cattle in pre-quarantine through to export.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transactions.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products/services.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience in livestock handling and live export an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage and resolve customer service queries.
• Knowledge of best practices in animal welfare, biosecurity and hygiene. 
• Knowledge of ASEL or willingness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Capability to work weekends and during the night.
• Flexibility for domestic and international travel as required.
