We are looking for an experienced Construction Designer/Architect with proven new home design to help the most important people in our business - our customers!
You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
- Producing clear, detailed and accurate designs for clients and for construction (primarily new home, but granny flat designs too)
- Review, understand and action consultant drawings and reports
- Work closely with sales, estimating and approval departments
- Meeting with clients in the office, or on site if required, to guide them through the design phase
- Offering expert advice in regard to compliancy and construction issues
- Ensuring that any project meets agreed specifications, budgets and timescales
The skills we are looking for:
- Applicable knowledge of the relevant State Environmental Planning Policies, Local Environmental Plans and council Development Control Plans
- Stay current with all building regulations, requirements, and laws
- Ability to work in a team cohesively and autonomously
- Attention to detail and innate pride in your work
We are seeking someone who:
- Has a minimum 3 years’ experience in residential design
- Experience with ArchiCAD
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is self-motivated and results-focused
- Is able to work as part of a team
- Is highly organised and an excellent multi-tasker
