AddressTurfcare Solutions, a leading sports field construction and renovation business in Sydney, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Greenkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and managing the delivery of sports field construction and renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Lead the construction and renovation projects of sports fields across Sydney, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating all activities involved in the project lifecycle.
- Site Management: Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient project execution.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations, conducting regular inspections and quality checks.
- Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective project delivery while maintaining profitability.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop maintenance plans for completed sports fields, coordinating ongoing maintenance activities to preserve the quality and performance of the turf surfaces.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in sports field construction and maintenance, implementing improvements to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports field construction, turf management, or related field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from conception to completion, preferably in the sports turf industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Knowledge of turfgrass species, cultivation techniques, irrigation systems, and turf maintenance practices is desirable.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites across Sydney as required.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in construction management, turf management, or related field are advantageous.
