About the role
This is a permanent, part-time, Monday to Friday 6.30 am to 1.00 pm position working 30 hours per week. This position is located at the Artie Smith Oval / 84 Cambewarra Road, Bomaderry
Duties
Reporting directly to the Precinct Supervisor – Artie Smith (SCaRP), the focus of this position is to:
- Application of chemicals, correct storage, and recording.
- Maintain, renovate, and construct surfaces to different specifications.
- Obtaining quotes and overseeing subcontractors.
- Participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps, irrigation equipment and drainage systems.
- Contribute to the development and delivery maintenance programs for Croquet Lawn and other playing surfaces within the SCaRP Precinct.
- Operate and maintain plant items, such as excavators, graders, backhoes, reach mower tractors, dozers, water tankers, street sweepers, wing mowers, forklifts, hydraulic gang mowers, herbicide sprayers, ride-on mowers, heavy duty chippers etc.
On call – Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Current National WHS Construction Card (WorkCover)
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
- A minimum of two (2) years’ greenkeeping experience within a similar environment (Croquet lawn, turf wicket)
- Experience participating in croquet lawn preparation, renovation, and maintenance (or equivalent)
- Class MR Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
