Full time position based in Waikerie
Council is seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join the Waikerie Depot Construction team. This is an exciting career opportunity to work for a dynamic, community focused and progressive Council in the Riverland of South Australia.
The full time position includes attractive pay and work conditions with modern plant and equipment. Council offer flexible work arrangements to support a relaxed work/life balance by way of an 8-day fortnight working to a roster of Tuesday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm.
Requirements include:
- Proven skills and experience in road construction and maintenance
- Experience in Patrol Grading to ensure maintenance of Council’s roads is within set schedules
- Provide safe and efficient plant and equipment operations
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance of plant and equipment when necessary
- South Australian drivers licence class Heavy Combination (HC) is preferred
Key responsibilities and qualifications for this position are listed in the Job and Person Specification. Remuneration for this position will be paid under the Local Government Employees Award and DCLW's Enterprise Agreement – Grade 6 to 7 dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.
