SalaryGC Migration Services Construction Project Manager Belmadar is a Sydney-based, privately-owned construction company delivering excellence in commercial building construction. We specialised in full renovation, extension, construction of custom homes, commercial, and retirement dwellings, and villages. Our projects are expanding therefore our team is expanding too.
We are looking for a Project Manager (Construction). The Project Managers (Construction) will be responsible for managing, coordinating, planning, executing and directing the Projects of the company. From the planning stage through to handover, you will be hands-on, overseeing contractors and consultants and bringing the projects in on time and on budget, whilst maintaining strong communication with the Directors, customers and all internal and external stakeholders.
It will be essential to supervise and manage the project and construction team in a coordinated manner according to the plan.
- Delivery of construction residential and commercial building projects.
- Understand project management methodologies and current industry best practices.
- Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training, and performance management.
- Manage Planning and Authority approval process.
- Coordinate all development phases (concept, documentation, briefs) in accordance with the approval.
- Facilitate engagement of consultants and builders and manage accordingly.
- Interpret building plans, regulations and codes of practice in order to direct the progress of work and monitor compliance, program, construction costs and schedules.
- Responsible for quality control and implementing cost-effective practices for construction.
- Ongoing communication with the directors and clients, in a respectful and clear manner.
- Adhere to federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to role function and responsibility.
- Actively contribute to the developing system and procedure improvements to promote continuous quality improvement within the scope of the role
- Have excellent organisational skills and enter daily all project information in the company system.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience, minimum 3 years, in project management as a project lead
- Understand project management methodologies
- Thorough working knowledge of Building Industry

- Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills
- Effectively manage competing priorities
- Use sound judgment and interpersonal skills to deal with conflict, negotiate and influence outcomes
- Strong contractor management, leadership and supervision skills.
