About the role
We are seeking three experienced Construction Superintendents join our Project Execution team at our Ranger Rehabilitation site in Jabiru. The key responsibilities are to supervise and direct operations within the assigned discipline or areas as well as ensuring assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
This role will be based in Jabiru, Northern Territory, with occasional travel required to Darwin/Brisbane. Fly In; Fly Out from some major capital cities will also be considered.
Reporting to the Project Execution Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the safe planning and execution of construction activities
- Managing multi-disciplined contractors and suppliers
- Interfacing between multiple work groups
- Acting as a critical leader in the owner's team
- Participating in Planning workshops and Risk Assessments
- Liaising effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction project activities to meet milestones
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with engineering and quality standards
- Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
- Directing and supervising construction or related workers
What you'll bring

- Strong operational or project leadership and be confident in effectively leading, mentoring and coaching team members as well as interfacing with senior leaders
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, resolve conflicts, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving abilities to deliver complex solutions across an operation
- Significant demonstrated experience in construction management, preferably in the heavy mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Who we are
Energy Resources of Australia Ltd (ERA) is a publicly listed company with Rio Tinto as its major shareholder. ERA, established in 1979, previously mined and produced uranium oxide from its Ranger mine in the beautiful and rugged Alligator Rivers area of the Northern Territory. The Ranger mine is located on Aboriginal land, surrounded by, but currently separate from, Kakadu National Park.
ERA's production operations on the Ranger Project Area ceased in January 2021, with the major focus now shifting to the comprehensive world-class rehabilitation of the Ranger mine that will eventually allow it to be incorporated back into the Kakadu National Park should the Traditional Owners and the Commonwealth Government wish. The Ranger Rehabilitation Project is the largest project of its kind in Australia and possibly the world. It is unique in that it is rehabilitating land in one of the world's most culturally and environmentally sensitive locations, surrounded by the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park on the land of the Mirarr Traditional Owners, located three hours southeast of Darwin.
