Reporting into the Engineering Projects team, you will supervise capital projects for the client-side, with project values ranging from <100k to >20M. The Engineering Projects team manage a large capital portfolio (>AU$120M per year), including a wide variety of multi-disciplinary construction projects.
The team has a wide mix of professionals from different disciplines and with various levels of experience, making for a diverse team environment. As the Construction Supervisor, you will be point of contact for daily activities on projects relative to your field and experience
Role type
We are recruiting for candidates of each discipline: civil, electrical and mechanical/structural. Contract hourly based role with no fixed end date, subject to the ongoing needs of the capital portfolio of projects

Travel
FIFO (Brisbane to Moranbah) or DIDO
Roster
Subject to requirements of the projects in the capital portfolio and differing for each discipline being recruited for, but either 5:2 or 8:6 or shutdown rosters
Skill set
- Experienced trade or operator background in their discipline (mechanical/structural, civil or electrical);
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on safe execution of projects;
- The ability to lead from the front and engage - both subcontractors and self-perform staff - to deliver productivity, compliance outcomes;
- Proven commitment to leading safety, quality, and environmental compliance on site;
- Experienced Supervisor in the Queensland Coal Mining Industry, BMA experience preferred but not essential;
- Experience in construction commissioning;
- Experience in commercial management of a contractor (e.g. managing day-works).
Required Qualifications:
- Coal Board Medical;
- Standard 11;
- S123 and G2 qualifications required for supervisor competency;
- Note that an interview on site will be required with the Project Superintendent or delegate, to ensure the candidate’s knowledge of the Qld Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations in order to be appointed as a Supervisor under the site Safety and Health Management System.
