Job Description:
To successfully plan, coordinate and supervise the activities of assigned construction crews on a suite of civil construction and maintenance projects, to deliver effective, consistent and cost-efficient services to achieve required outcomes.
The location of the position is Burpengary, Queensland.
Working from the Monday, 15th of January until Friday, 16th of February working hours are 6:30am until 3:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
- Provide leadership and motivation to the construction crews to drive a safe, efficient and cooperative work site, team approach and ensure staff are appropriately skilled in order to deliver daily operational functions.
- Manage the performance of engaged subcontractors in the delivery of a suite of tasks related to construction projects.
- Undertake the end-to-end range of construction procurement activities in accordance with Council’s Policies and Procedures.
- Undertake costing activities for construction in consultation with Construction Leaders to drive quality service and construction outcomes.
- Maintain control of a range of construction project inputs and activities to support quality construction outcomes.
- Read and interpret complex construction documentation including drawings, specifications, estimates and program scheduling to ensure positive delivery outcomes.
- Well-developed experience in the delivery of a range of scheduled construction projects in a general construction environment.
- Sound level of skills in fostering, developing and supporting the sustainable skill growth of team members.
- Well-developed knowledge and practical experience of relevant construction materials, construction plant capacity and specifications and standards relevant to the successful delivery of identified projects.
- Well-developed technology, numeracy, and written and verbal communication skills in order to undertake a range of duties relevant to this position.
- Well-developed people and day-to-day management skills with demonstrated ability to work within broader teams and drive a positive and well-connected team environment.
- Sound experience in undertaking manual tasks in a safe conscious manner.
- Tertiary Qualifications or Certificate IV in civil construction, project management or other relevant field.
- Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 5 years.
- Current C class driver’s licence.
