capabilities, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analytics Consultant to join our dynamic team. The role We are looking for a talented Consultant with 1-3 years of experience solving problems with data. As the ideal candidate, you will have a curious and investigative mindset, demonstrating a passion for solving complex legal problems for our clients. Likely having a background in consulting or professional services, you will enjoy working with a diverse group of stakeholders and be driven to approach your work in a considered, solutions-focused, and innovative manner to help our clients get the best outcome. Our Data Analytics team will support you to develop, thrive and explore your curiosity as part of collaborative teams committed to effectively problem solve in the provision of client service excellence. This role is permanent, full-time and can be based in our Sydney or Canberra office. Key Responsibilities You will be supported to learn and deliver the below outcomes: Undertake extensive analytical reviews of data to assist our clients as part of legal matters;
Consult with multiple stakeholders and develop bespoke Data Analytics procedures and solutions;
Prepare reports and presentations for client deliverables in a clear, structured manner;
Work in cross-functional teams with other FTS team members and lawyers from practice groups across the firm; and
Proactively manage own workload, meet set KPIs and accurately record time spent on tasks.
Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: Unrestricted working rights in Australia;
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with strong academic results;
1-3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a consulting or professional services firm;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail;
Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (examples could include Excel, Python, R, SQL, Tableau);
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
a proven track record of delivering high-quality client service.
Commonwealth Security Clearance Due to the mix of public sector and private sector work, we have a preference for candidates who are eligible to obtain a Commonwealth Security Clearance. Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility for this clearance and is essential for employees based in our Canberra office (highly desired for Sydney based employees).
