This 507-bed facility is one of the leading private health campuses in Western Australia and a major health care hub. The private Emergency Department is accredited by ACEM and offers 24 hour adult and paediatric emergency services. The ED sees approximately 20,000 patients per year with an admission rate of 40%.
The Job
Work as an Emergency Medicine Consultant and provide the highest standard of care and acute Medical Services to all patients within the Emergency Department.
You will undertake clinical duties, direct patient care, record keeping and discharge planning.
Consultants will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, nursing and student staff in the Emergency Department.
You will assist with resuscitation or acute patient deteriorations on the wards or on any other parts of the hospital.
You are responsible for reviewing admitted patients in the Emergency Observation Unit and attend to on-call within 30 minutes of notification.
FACEMs are expected to participate in patient safety, audit, research, risk management, service planning and quality improvement activities.

Requirements
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent.
