There are many exciting opportunities available in Emergency Medicine with a broad case mix including a significant number of high acuity and trauma presentations as well as interhospital transfers throughout the following regions:
Suitable candidates must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), hold fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent. Have demonstrated experience in Emergency Medicine at a senior level and contemporary knowledge of professional issues and trends. You must have highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills with a commitment to clinical governance within healthcare. Significant experience in rural and remote Emergency Medicine provision and sound understanding of remote area health service provision is desirable.
Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. Work Related Requirements
Essential
- Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent that is recognised for registration as a specialist with the Medcial Board of Australia.
- Possess substantial postgraduate medical experience in Emergency Medicine and hospital practice.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and to lead in a team environment.
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience and ability to foster strong relationships between general practice, Emergency Medicine and other stakeholders.
- Experience in rural area medicine and Indigenous Health.
