Job description:
The Injury Management team at the Department of Health is dedicated to providing high-level advice and partnering with business units to ensure effective management of workers' compensation, Injury Management, and return-to-work activities.

About Us: The Injury Management team at the Department of Health is dedicated to providing high-level advice and partnering with business units to ensure effective management of workers' compensation, Injury Management, and return-to-work activities. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join us as the Consultant - Injury Management.
The Role: As a Consultant within Injury Management, you will play a pivotal role in leading the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of effective Injury Management programs across DoH business units. Your responsibilities will include providing high-level HR advice to executive members and business unit managers, undertaking duties associated with Injury Management such as case management, audits and training. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of strong communication links within HR and its clients.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP
Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location:
Hobart, Tasmania
Please note, occasional intrastate travel may be required.
Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Completion of, or undertaking, Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management or an equivalent qualification.
Two or more years’ experience in an Injury Management, WHS, Health and Wellbeing and/or HR related role.
Current Driver’s Licence.
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
Conviction checks in the following areas:
crimes of violence
sex related offences
serious drug offences
crimes involving dishonesty
Identification check
Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
