About the Role

Permanent full time, autonomous role. Responsible for meeting with Architects, Building Designers, Custom Builders, and/or their clients and Owner Builders, both in their premises or on building sites to offer a personalised solution to their residential project, walking them through the sales process from start to finish. The position comes with full use of a Mercedes Vito Van which is set up as a Mobile Showroom to present products to clients. Travel throughout the entire state is required on a regular basis. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting New Business/Business Development Activities
  • Manage & Maintain Customer Relationships
  • Product Presentations and Sales Consultations
  • Visiting Constructions Sites on a Regular Basis
  • Completing Take Offs and Preparing Quotations and Regular Follow Ups
  • Achieve a Sales Budget
  • Sales Order Recording and Administration
  • Completing Weekly Sales Reporting and Regular Communication with the Sales Manager
  • Attendance via video conference at Regular Meetings and providing Constructive Input and Ideas
  • Regular travel to the Victorian Head Office for Sales Meetings is required
  • Attendance at Trade Shows

The Ideal Candidate

You will be an ambitious, dedicated and positive individual with an aptitude for understanding technical products. You possess good communication skills and can adapt to your environment, while always providing exceptional customer service. You have great time management and excellent administration skills and have proven experience in a similar role.

*This role would also suit an experienced tradesperson who wants to come off the tools whilst still wanting to remain in the building industry.

Skills and Experience required: 

  • Be sales focused with a high level of attention to detail
  • Possess excellent technical aptitude
  • Highly organised with great people skills
  • A passion for sales within the building industry
  • Not afraid to pick up the phone, approach customers and go the extra mile
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar sales role is preferred 
  • Physically Fit and able to navigate the challenges of a working building site. 

The successful candidate will ideally be based in Hobart with travel statewide as required, however candidates located anywhere statewide will be considered.

This is a long-term position for someone who is committed to a future within Rylock. The successful candidate will be offered a Salary Package of $105K which includes Salary, Super and projected incentives when selling to an initial year budget.
