Overview
Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to women? Yorke and Northern Local Health Network are seeking a dedicated Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our team.
The Obstetrician & Gynaecologist is responsible for:
- Manage patient care collaboratively, ensuring high standards of treatment.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotations for continuous patient support.
- Supervise and lead our Labour ward with expertise and compassion.
- Handle gynaecological emergencies effectively.
- Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement and auditing activities.
- Stay updated through continuing education initiatives.
- Enjoy flexible rostering for Labour ward shifts, clinics, and theatre lists.
- Mentor junior doctors and support midwives.
- Contribute to clinical research to advance women's health care.
- Provide inclusive health care services without bias.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) or equivalent
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to women's health care for Aboriginal women and women with a history of sexual abuse.
