- Total Indicative Remuneration Package*: $359,094 to $701,269 p.a.
*Total Indicative Remuneration (TIRP) includes Award Salary, remote call allowance, professional development, A&R Allowance, Super, Private Practice Arrangements (if applicable).
Overview
The opportunity is now available for a Consultant Paediatrician to join the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network in providing clinical services of the highest possible standard to Paediatric patients, both in terms of individual performance and by clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Based in Port Pirie, your role will include developing the Out of Home Care Service for that area.
This position will be linked to the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) for clinical support, peer review and ongoing education opportunities.
The Consultant Paediatrician is required to:
- Provide a professional medical service in accordance with Regional, Hospital and Departmental policy manuals and documents, and within the Professional standards of the Australasian College for Paediatric Medicine.
- Provide input into paediatric service development across the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network as we grow our specialist services regionally.
- Actively be involved in the education of trainee medical officers, interns, medical students and where appropriate, nursing and allied health staff affiliated with the service.
- Engage in clinical audits and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities, research and continuous medical education activities.
- Participate in research and continuous medical education activities.
Essential Minimum Requirements
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Have appropriate Specialist qualifications and be registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with a Specialist registration.
Applicants must have experience in providing Paediatric services within a local metropolitan or regional referral network, with experience in Paediatrics and patient management, quality improvement activities and research and teaching.
