The Organisation
You will be working for a major referral and teaching hospital in the district that has a bed base of more than 500 with the capacity to treat specialist and complex cases. The campus provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. The hospital has recently undergone a transformation with over $110 million worth of capital works enhancements, including the construction of the Elective Surgical Services Centre.
The hospital is closely affiliated with the University of Wollongong and the Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute.
The Job
- As a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, you will provide clinical management and treatment of patients in the local health district
- You will have the opportunity to support and develop plastic and reconstructive surgery services and research within the department
- Work closely with a broad multidisciplinary team
- You will be responsible for the supervision and guidance of junior medical staff and
- participate in the teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate education
- You will participate in the shared on-call roster

Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), or equivalent
