• Permanent (0.5FTE to 1.0FTE )About the RoleThe Consultant Psychiatrist is accountable for the delivery of clinical services to the consumers of the AIS and SVMH, through providing high quality clinical services, contributing to service evaluation and research and displaying a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in psychiatry.

• Ensure regular and effective communication with staff from the community and services of SVHM
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other mental health clinicians to ensure the optimum management of consumers’ needs
• Assess and manage consumers of the service according to the current best practice standards, using the best available evidence and meeting the requirements of relevant law, ethics, and community needs
