- Total Indicative Remuneration – MD2 - Consultant / Senior Consultant $357,576 - $606,616 pro rata (subject to Private Practice Arrangements)
- Employment Part time - Various FTE fractions and Term Contracts available.
Note: The Total Indicative Remuneration is inclusive of Award Salary, Superannuation, any relevant allowance and any other monetary benefits.

The Women’s & Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being South Australia’s largest maternity and obstetric service, and statewide Maternal Fetal Medicine service.

The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Medicine team as a Consultant/Senior Consultant. Various fractions of FTE are available for term contracts.
As the Consultant/Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for:
- Providing high quality inpatient, outpatient and community General Medicine services.
- Ensuring that clients’ functional levels are restored or managed using evidence based best practice.
- Contributing to education and research within the Unit and will encourage and support team work amongst staff for optimal clinical service outcomes.
About You
In this specialised role, you will have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent with appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
To be successful in this role, you will use your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally.
You should have experience in the:
- Provision of General Medicine services to clients (patients and families).
- A large public hospital and in community settings.
- Teaching at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Developmental and behavioural assessments.
