Job description

The Role

Reporting to the department supervisor, you will be communicating and harnessing internal relationships between other departments which includes Customer Service team, manufacturing, accounts and marketing.

Enquiries are unique and specialised to the client therefore the ability to be analytical and adaptable to ensure the best outcomes for the customer.

You will be responsible for but not limited to :

  • Responding to phone calls, emails and face to face enquiries between departments, interstate sales reps and external customers while building rapport.
  • Familiarity with the different products and services across the business
  • Provide excellent Customer Service and assist customers in enquiries relating to products and services (training provided)
  • Competency in using the different programs for ordering, quoting, checking status and invoicing orders and enquiries
  • Educate to understand the manufacturing process tobe able to answer customer enquiries and ensure correct quotes and charges are imposed for all quotes and orders (training provided)
  • Ensuring all relevant order details and requirements by the customer are noted on the order and communicated to the relevant departments accurately.
  • Prioritise orders and dispatches based on fabrication time requirements / deadlines, urgency, freight requirements and customer deadlines and manage issues that arise
  • Running daily overdue reports to manage all orders and communicating with customers and the department for any delays of orders and products out of stock
  • Organising all pick-ups and dispatches to customers, as required, and accurately taking and documenting customer details in the system so avoid incorrect deliveries and inability to contact customers
  • Processing credits and returns
  • Facilitating and managing monthly stocktake for the department

The Ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Resilience and proactive approach when dealing with customers and internal departments
  • High levels of time management and use initiative
  • Willingness to learn with a positive attitude
  • Be solutions focused - while being respectful, collaborative and adaptable
