The Hospital has four operating theatres and two procedure rooms. The operating theatre complex is supported by a 6 bed ICU/HDU. The Department is accredited for specialist training and is heavily involved in teaching and research.
The role is to provide specialist upper limb services, elective and trauma, including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. The successful candidate will work closely with our hand therapy service and physiotherapists. The position includes elective operating, general and specialist trauma operating, elective and fracture clinics, teaching of the AOA trainee and other junior doctors, contribution to audit, M&M and departmental research.

Skills/Qualifications:
Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in the specialty of Orthopaedic Surgery, or equivalent recognised qualification.
