Internal Expression of Interest: Consumer Engagement and Liaison
• Employment Term: 4 days - 11th - 15th March
• Location: The Wesley Hospital
• Remuneration: $61.83/hr + 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

This is a key role in supporting the hospital’s continuous focus on improving engagement with consumers across the hospital and in the community, as such; you will provide expertise in liaising with patients, families and carers and connecting with a variety of consumers to contribute to our continuous quality improvement journey.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and facilitating local activities for Wesley Hospital leaders and clinicians to engage and partner with consumers at the patient level, service/department/program level and health service level.
- Act as the hospital’s central point of expertise in the processes of engaging and partnering with consumers.
- Contribute to the hospital’s systems of governance to meet relevant accreditation standards and obligations.
- Build effective relationships with relevant stakeholders within the hospital and within the organisation.
- Receive and triage enquiries, complaints and other matters regarding health care services at the Wesley, including identifying and recording complaint issues, assessing risk and prioritising and escalating matters for urgent follow-up.

- Demonstrated ability to facilitate Consumer Engagement in a health service organisation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in health service delivery with appropriate clinical knowledge, experience and skills is essential including an understanding of care processes provided in multiple areas of an acute health care facility.
- Demonstrated experience in developing working relationships to achieve identified outcomes and an ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills including experience in the use of basic computer software and applications used for governance, risk and compliance (eg Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, acts, policies and the National Healthcare Standards
