The Health Policy and Assurance Branch is a well-supported dynamic and diverse work environment with a wide range of functions. The Branch is responsible for the management of health contracts. These include the Visa and Migration Medical Services Provider contract which provides onshore Immigration Medical Examinations (IMEs) and other visa health related services. It is also responsible for a number of health contracts for delivering health services to Departmental and ABF staff, including clinical advice, psychometric testing, medical and fitness assessments, employee vaccination programs and employee assistance programs.
The Branch is also responsible for a global network of more than 600 offshore panel clinics delivering IMEs visa applicants wanting to travel to Australia.
The Branch develops and updates strategic and operational Policy and conducts assurance activities over these policies.
We also manage and provide support for migration health systems used by Australia and our M5 partner countries.
Our ideal candidate

Duties and responsibilities
- Work independently on assigned contracts or projects and as part of a small team to achieve tasks and projects to a high standard
- Conduct procurement administration and financial management activities
- Manage complex stakeholder relationships with internal and external clients
- Identifying, developing, drafting, reviewing and implementing policy solutions
- Contribute to the development of guidelines, SOPs and internal management processes, write reports and prepare submissions and briefing materials.

- Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or higher (or undertaking a relevant course of study in procurement and contracting)
- 12 months + experience in procurement and Contract Management roles

- Experience in developing policy
- Experience in program management.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
