The City of Sydney is seeking an experienced, proactive Contract Manager to secure high quality contract management and procurement outcomes related to the design, construction and maintenance of the City's civil, electrical, street furniture and associated infrastructure in the public domain.
You will manage a small team to lead complex contract negotiations, develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, apply your strategic vision and mitigate risk across a wide range of multi-million-dollar contracts to support our extensive, annual capital and operational works programs.
You will thrive in the role with:
Tertiary qualifications and/or minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil, construction and/or asset management tendering processes, preparation of complex contract documents, contract execution and successful contract management.Demonstrated experience in managing large and complex service contracts. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering complex tenders and specifications to meet corporate policies, procedures and systems. Demonstrated experience in identifying and analysing procurement and contract risks and implementation of preventative actions and solutions. Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate on complex, sensitive contractual issues and mediate disputes. Demonstrated experience in managing contracts effectively, including financial and resource management, timelines and reporting on KPI targets. Current NSW driving licence (or obtain one within 3 months of employment).
