The Role

Come take a look at this exciting role in which you can have direct influence by providing superior Contract Management to Land Explosive Ordnance Systems Program Office (LEOSPO).
The successful applicant will be an integral part of the LEOSPO Team, responsible for the governance, management and delivery commercial outcomes across Sustainment and Acquisition programs in accordance with Defence strategic direction, including but not limited to;
- Provide advice, direction, strategy, schedule management and services for commercial policy, procedures, legal, financial investigation and other requirements to support commercial management outcomes.
- Apply innovation, knowledge, legal principles, and critical commercial risk and performance requirements related to procurement and contract management.
- Lead simple and complex negotiations, monitor, manage and report on commercial administration, performance and risks against the contract and contribute to appropriate action

Note: This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
About our Team
LEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch, which is part of the Guided Weapons Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Delivery Division. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services).
We are primarily located in Canberra and Penrith and our focus is to acquire and sustain Explosive Ordnance for the Australian Defence Force.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in contract administration and management, including developing contract documentation, conducting contract negotiations, developing and reporting on contract performance indicators.
- Have demonstrated ability to; interpret strategic direction; Govern, manage, report and deliver results on a program of Commercial activity requiring outcomes across a worldwide supplier base;
- Present information and advice to inform executive decision making;
- Have effective communication and relationship management skills;
- Have experience in leading a high performance team to deliver results on schedule
