With a workforce of over 3,000 employees and volunteers, Centacare operates in more than 200 locations, supporting tens of thousands of people each year across various Directorates.The role:The Contracts Management Officer role at Centacare based in the Housing team plays a crucial role in the onboarding and compliance, service-specific contractors for Centacare, supporting Service Leaders, and ensuring the utilization of CM3. This role also collaborates closely with our WHS and Property teams to address maintenance and modifications issues across Centacare's owned and supported living spaces. The role requires someone with a strong understanding of trades/trade related works and ability to negotiate acceptable hourly rates with Contractors.Key Duties:
- Coordinate, facilitate and manage contractor inductions.
- Manage and maintain contractor and employee compliance as well as various licensing and compliance requirements.
- Strong knowledge of trade-specific works and building regulations and codes
- Maintain compliance systems such as TRACCS and CM3
- Develop and manage operational support reports.
- Manage and maintain internal databases for rostering purposes.
- Identify opportunities for growth, including active engagement with external contractors and industry stakeholders.
- Build and maintain exceptional working relationships with Centacare’s team to enable efficiency in the delivery of Centacare Services.
- Tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social or Behavioural Science or Business Management from a recognised institute.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the Aged and Community services sector, ideally in a similar position, with a proven track record in managing contractors.
- Demonstrated understanding of the funding, policy, and legislative environment for Centacare Services’ portfolio of programs, including NDIS and disability, Aged Care, Housing and Homelessness Specialist family support services
- Ability to have and/or obtain a NDIS workers screening card and working with children check.
- Ability to have and/or obtain and pass a police check.
