Our client is an established, National contractor specialism in delivering D&C industrial, retail and commercial building and refurbishment projects throughout Australia. Due to a heavy work-load and having recently secured several $20M - $40M+ projects in Greater Brisbane this building contractor seeks to hire an experienced construction Project Manager with previous, demonstrable success in the mid-tier construction and refurbishment space contractors in Australia.

In this position you will be reporting to the QLD Construction Manager based out their offices on the outskirts of Brisbane CBD. With a team already in place you will be solely responsible for overseeing the delivery of either a $25M industrial warehouse project or a $8M live environment refurb of an existing shopping centre in the Inner City Suburbs. You will direct & supervise a wide cross section of sub-contractors and be proficient programming and budgeting. In addition to possessing a sound contractual understanding, you will have strong core building skills possessing an ability to manage complex live environment building projects. Additionally you will be required to utilize your excellent communication & interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and architects, whilst continually representing the company in a professional manner.
To be suitable for this position it is anticipated that you will possess the following;
- Will have worked in the construction industry for a minimum of 10 years, ideally in the form of Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Manager, CA and of course a Project Manager position.
- As a Project Manager will have delivered commercial and industrial projects upto and in excess of $30M.
- Will have worked for established, systems driven contractors in Brisbane
- Will have worked with established costing and programming systems such as Procore, Jobpac, CHEOPS, MS Projects, Aconex etc
- Will have successfully delivered industrial, commercial and shopping centre projects
- Will be Brisbane based or relocating to the area
- Will take pride in your work and want to deliver quality projects to your client.
