Introduction
We are seeking Psychologists to work as independent contractors in school settings in Sydney and Northern NSW. Seeking psychologists to deliver face to face counselling to the students.

The opportunity
As an independent contractor, you will be providing general counselling services to schools to improve learning and well-being outcomes for students. You will be working with students who are primary school aged to year 12.
These contracting roles are ideally for 1-5 days a week (minimum of 6 hours guaranteed per day). This work is a great option for professionals looking to transition from paid employment positions to contracting work and we will support and guide you as part of this transition. It also offers flexibility for those working part-time in other roles or/and balancing work and family commitments.
Ongoing support will be available through the clinical team at MAX Solutions and our clients' staff. You will be required to deliver face to face counselling to the students during school term. There may also be opportunities for telehealth services, depending on the location of the school.
About you
- Current AHPRA general registration as a Psychologist
- Minimum 2 years of experience delivering psychological services in an educational and/or similar setting
- Experience conducting general counselling to school-age children (primary and/or secondary)
- Assessment experience will be highly regarded (but not mandatory)
- Strong report writing skills (quality and efficiency)
- Capacity to work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the schools
- Proven ability to prioritise, plan and organise workflow to tight time frames, handle multiple tasks and be flexible with changing priorities
- Proven high level IT literacy, particularly in common applications including Microsoft Office program (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), databases and using the internet
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to receive and act upon constructive feedback
- A strong service orientation to ensure quality outcomes for all stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail.
