About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Director of the Oven Mountain Pumped Hydro Storage Project. The Contracts Administrator will administer all contracts for the OMPS Project, and manage the Risk Register to ensure it is accurate and up to date.

About the Project:

The project is an “off-river” development located adjacent to the Macleay River situated in the New England Renewable Energy Zone. The project will provide up to 900MW of electricity generating capacity, with between 8 and 12 hours of dispatchable energy available to the NEM.

The project is well progressed through the planning phase with the project team having completed the majority of onsite surveys, and the Environmental Impact Statement is currently in the response to submissions phase.  Project procurement, including for the lead engineering, procurement and construction contractor is under way.

In this role, you’ll be:

• Provide support for contractual and commercial affairs, encompassing tasks such as reviewing contracts, managing procurement activities and facilitating contract renewal.
• Offer guidance on commercial initiatives necessitating legal and commercial analysis, aimed at formulating and informing commercial recommendations.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of all relevant agreements.
• Deploy optimal processes and controls for contract management, incorporating relevant RACI frameworks.
• Assume a primary role in administering designated contracts, which involves securing necessary approvals and coordinating with counterparties.
• Manage the Project’s risk register to ensure that it is effective and up to date.

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or law with experience in a similar role.
• Proven past ability in contract management and procurement.
• Understanding of risk management frameworks.
• Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in effectively handling time-sensitive and competing tasks, demonstrating autonomy in execution.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
