AddressOur client is an established builder. They have a strong pipeline of work located Northwest of Melbourne and a long track record of successfully completing complex and demanding refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Procurement: Take the lead in procuring trades and subcontractors, actively seeking out the best partners to ensure project success. Get hands-on in the process, from initial outreach to final agreements.
- Client and Subcontractor Relationship Management: Roll up your sleeves to maintain strong relationships with both clients and subcontractors.
- Efficient Project Management: Dive into managing RFIs, progress claims, variations, and EOT submissions with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Comprehensive Subcontractor Management: Take charge of subcontractor management, from preparing tender packages to developing scopes of works and contract documentation.
- Financial Oversight: Get hands-on with financial responsibilities such as reporting costing, cash flow management, and negotiation of payment terms with suppliers.
- Hands-On Qualification: Hold a degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Practical Experience in fast paced refurbishments: Bring your experience working within refurbishment.
- Detail-Oriented Communication: Display strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Proven Experience: Ideally, possess 5+ years of experience as a Contracts Administrator under a head contractor.
- Proficiency in Project Processes: Demonstrate a working knowledge of tendering, developing, and letting of trade packages, cost forecasting, reporting, and subcontract tender negotiation. Show your ability to jump in and handle these processes with confidence and skill.
