As one of the world's leading grains research organisations, the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) plays an integral role in driving research outcomes and innovations that directly benefit the Australia's grain industry.
We are seeking a Contracts Administrator. This is a full-time role engaged on a 12-months term, based in Canberra or Toowoomba.
Responsibilities
- Ensure contract financial administration and tracking is carried out within the relevant policies and specific allocated project budget.
- Undertake administrative contract management tasks as required e.g. processing contract variations, project specifications, progress and final reports, input of data into the financial and contract management system.
- Perform analysis as required on contract issues arising and provide Managers with appropriate details for effective decisions to be made.
- Ensure consistent delivery against agreed milestones and GRDC processes.
- Ensure payments against agreed milestones are made in a timely manner.
- Liaise with Managers and relevant stakeholders on day-to-day matters via phone, email and meetings as required.
- AdHoc duties as required from time-to-time.
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated minimum 2 years’ experience in procurement and contracting.
- Qualification in procurement or contracting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with various stakeholder calibres.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work autonomously and in collaborative teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and re-prioritise as required.
- A high degree of resilience
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be prepared to travel as and when required.
- Must be willing to undergo all Pre-employment Medical checks.
- Must have a valid Australian Driver’s Licence as deemed necessary.
