About the role
Due to a strong project pipeline in ACT a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contract Administrator to join our construction team.
The contracts administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and will be a liaison between internal business parties and external vendors and suppliers.
As Contract Administrator your responsibilities will include but be not limited to:
- Managing all project-related documentation, including contracts, drafting specifications, legal agreements and correspondence, and other relevant records.
- Review and make recommendations on contracts that are legally binding between both parties
- Purchase Orders/ Requisitions raised in a timely manner
- Managing the construction programme by tracking project expenses, expenditures, budget, scheduling subcontractors, and managing time overruns with site supervisors
- Liaise with PM to schedule long lead items and release periods.
- Negotiate with sub-contractors in liaison with procurement
- Supporting the Development and Construction Teams to meet contract expectations.
- Provide regular updates to the stakeholders and/or the project control team
- Evaluating the effectiveness of contract management processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, such as streamlining procedures, implementing new tools or technologies, or providing training to staff members.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role. Exposure to the construction sector is desirable.
- Residential& Commercial Estimating, and Contract Administration experience.
- Intermediate business administration.
- Residential building process experience preferred.
- CDC and DA requirements
- High attention to detail and organised administration skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage a multiple-tasks at the same time.
