We are currently seeking a Contract Specialist to join our friendly Golden Grove Commercial Team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role of Contracts Specialist is to initiate, plan, review, draft and manage a portfolio of site materials and services agreements, including the tendering and administration of formal agreements with suppliers that reduce the Company’s risks.
This is a 6-month Fixed Term position and will be based in our West Perth office on a 5/2 roster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitor and manage contracts with KPIs which drive incentives or penalties;
- Maintain all signed contracts and terms and conditions within a systematic and organised document management system, referenced to the contracts register;
- Establish which contracts to be terminated, renegotiated and/or extended within notice periods;
- Coordinate and manage contract preparation, tendering, assessment and evaluation, negotiation and award;
- Provide advice to core business disciplines through detailed analysis to maximise benefits from tendering, evaluation, award and contract administration;
- Manage the process of all contracts including regular meetings and reviews with contractor representatives to ensure compliance with the contract requirements; and
- Maintain minutes of all contractor and supplier meetings.
- Degree in business or commerce, law, engineering, or equivalent. ( Significant job experience may be suitable in absence of degree);
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in contract management;
- Proven understanding of the tender and evaluation process; and
- Thorough understanding of contracts and their components, including a sound knowledge of contract law and appropriate state and federal legislation, tax, and mining regulations .
