The role is predominantly focused on the review and assessment of an existing portfolio of service contracts that are approaching expiration. Therefore the responsibilities of the role will be heavily focused but not limited to post-award management. Key responsibilities will include:
Maintaining the validity and viability of existing contracts through the evaluation of expected spend, security of supply, and market conditions and managing the subsequent execution of required variations, claims etc.
Engage in negotiations with existing and potentially new suppliers to improve the commercial terms, manage potential risk and maintain organisational compliance.
Monitor and capitalise on favourable market conditions or trends to maintain competitive advantages.
