A solid understanding of procurement and supply chain best practice, commercial law and mining requirements and methodologies for the procurement of goods and services for construction and sustaining capital works.
Ensure solid supplier relationship management with a key focus on global category managed suppliers
Experience of ERP systems.
To achieve this the successful candidate will have experience:
Global, corporate, cross-cultural environments
Customer relationship management and supplier relationships management
Experience within a sourcing and contracts with the resources industry (conducting/evaluation of tenders, negotiating and drafting contracts and through to post award contracts management)
Procurement, negotiation and contract management
Development and implementation of innovative supply strategies.
Strategy and operational plans
Qualification and Experience Required:
Candidates with a strong sourcing, procurement and/or category management experience and/or QS background are highly desirable
Extensive experience in a procurement and strategic sourcing within a sustaining capital environment
Educated to Degree Level potentially post graduate qualifications.
