The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Contracts Specialist to join us in on our Perth office on a 12-month secondment for a parental leave cover.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for providing specialist support, advice and guidance to the Contracts Manager, Program Manager and Project Managers to ensure adherence to the terms of project significant agreements, mitigation of commercial risks, and enhancement of desired project outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all contract rights and obligations are identified and influence stakeholders to ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain all contract details, records, correspondence and contract deliverables within the Contracts Management System and ensure that it is updated progressively.
- Provide strategic guidance to reduce commercial risks associated with existing and emerging time and cost pressures.
- Expedite the coordination, review and finalisation of contractor's contractual claims, including the provision of expert advice and application of reason in determining the contractor's entitlement and compliance with the contract terms.
- Regularly interface with internal stakeholders and report key contract information to Project Manager
Your background
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, legal or engineering
- Similar experience in a Contracts or Procurement role, ideally within a construction projects-based environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret contracts and procurement documentation.
