About the role
L3Harris IMSA is seeking a highly-driven and detail-orientated Contracts Specialist who will be responsible for establishment and management of subcontracts for materials, goods, equipment and/or services.
Core activities of this role will be centered around providing reporting on subcontractor progress and issues as well as providing assistance to the Legal and Contracts team. Your tasks may include but not be limited to evaluating and selecting / recommending contractors to meet approved sourcing strategies. Negotiate and manage contracts, including cost, variations, schedule and performance management and maintain controlled copies of contracts. Participate as required in Quality Audits of assigned contractors.
About you
To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;
- Contract or subcontract administration experience
- Experience in the delivery or support of large infrastructure projects
- Legal experience desirable
- Defence industry experience desirable
- Highly developed relationships building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Negotiation skills, including the ability to negotiate appropriate terms and conditions
- Ability to obtain and hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance
