About the roleWe are seeking motivated security service professionals to work as Control Room Operators at an internationally renowned education institution – Australian Catholic University, in Sydney NSW. This role is designed for a security career professional who will be provided the opportunity to work autonomously - applying their broad skill set to a vast array of security operational activities-daily. The role is based in NSW in North Sydney.
The role is dynamic, including continuous surveillance of CCTV, response to alarms and monitoring communications systems. You will be able to manage multiple actions and security scenarios in real time, requiring continuous multi-tasking and procedural decision making.
We have Full Time opportunities available.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Monitor CCTV
- Delivering excellent service performance standards at the campus, whilst developing operational efficiencies and improve performance.
- Responding to workplace emergencies.
- Site safety inspections and protecting users from security related risks.
- Manage incidents to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Reduce risk and increase safety.
- Incident reporting.
- Access control.
- Management of assets.
- Stakeholder and contractor engagement.
- Working closely with the client and supervisor on a day-to-day basis.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar role or Control Room setting.
- NSW Security Licence 1A.
- First Aid Certificate (current).
- NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current).
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotating roster across 7 Days (i.e.. 4 days on/off with the first two shifts 0600-1800 and the second 1800-0600).
- Advanced Computer Skills.
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Exceptional personal presentation.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to utilise access control systems and CCTV systems.
- White Card (or willing to obtain).
- Fire Warden (or willing to obtain).
