We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer for an Owners team vacancy working on multiple Green Energy/Renewables projects.
This is a Perth based role and offers an attractive hourly rate and 9-month contract.
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for deployment and delivery of Control Systems including PLC, Safety systems and SCADA/HMI components for the project.
- Develop Control Systems requirements, specifications, test/commissioning procedures and control interface documentation.
- Analyse system performance to recommend improvement and optimization strategies.
- Review existing Control Systems and recommend upgrades and modifications based on value.
- Perform I/O testing, sequence testing, functional testing, set up communications and troubleshooting of Control Systems and field instrumentation.
- Work in close conjunction with other engineering disciplines and workshop teams working on decarbonisation projects.
- Work with Control Systems vendors, contractors, and suppliers for the delivery and integration of different scopes for the project.
- Preparation of technical documentation, resolve technical queries and technical reviews of vendor deliverables.
- Deploy and commission new technology and Control Systems to accelerate the decarbonation goal.
- Engineering degree qualification.
- 5+ years’ experience with PLC, HMI and SCADA programming, testing, and commissioning.
- Significant experience with Siemens PLC’s, WinCC and TIA Portal is essential.
- Significant experience with Ignition SCADA is essential.
- Experience with industrial and automotive communication protocols; Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, CAN, UDP, etc. is essential.
- Experience with Functional Safety programming is highly regarded.
- Functional Safety qualification from TÜV/Exida or similar preferred.
- Experience with configuration of VVVF drives and DC-DC converters highly advantageous.
- Rail Control Systems experience and knowledge of CENELEC railway standards highly regarded.
- Knowledge of electric vehicles charging standards highly advantageous.
