About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Control Systems Engineer to join the Mooka Control Systems Team based in Port Hedland. This role will provide you the opportunity to excel in your career and extend your technical expertise working across a number of different control system assets.
The role can be a FIFO | 5/2 4/3, 4/3 4/3, 8/6 or residential
Reporting to the Lead Control Systems Engineer, You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Support Functional Safety Lifecycles including Impact Assessments for changes to Functional Safety Systems
- Participate/lead Risk Assessments, Audits and Functional Safety Proof Tests
- Provide technical stewardship through a variety of minor work in the electrical and control systems space
- Provide governance on all proposed control systems changes on site including risk assessment, compliance to design standards and verification
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation
- Investigate and identify the root causes of plant downtime by analysing control systems data, identify and execute solutions to prevent repeat events from occurring
- Provide control systems on site support to breakdowns and production critical issues
- Initiate and implement minor control systems improvement work to achieve safer and more reliable plant, thereby maintaining and improving process efficiencies in line with our business plan
- Execute electrical, instrument and control systems design and commissioning for minor plant modifications and new equipment installation
- Some shift work may be required for implementation of improvements or to support the team with leave coverage.
About You
- Committed to excellent safety standards, you will possess evidence of an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility, and sustainable development and technical regulatory compliance
- Competence in configuring and programming various control system platforms including Safety PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and WinCC. Also desirable will be experience with AGV systems, SQL, Siemens CNCs.
- Knowledgeable in analogue and discrete sensors (e.g. level, flow, pressure, temperature, position).
- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification is highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic or Control Systems Engineering or Trade qualifications in Electrical or Instrumentation discipline in equivalent industry and/or organisational experience
- Valid Australian ‘C’ Class Manual Drivers Licence is essential
