AddressI am partnering with an ASX listed Engineering & Technology company to recruit a Lead Control Systems Engineer. This company has an extensive portfolio in the Mining, Resources & Energy sectors, globally. This role would be based in Perth working specifically with their Mining & Renewables projects.
Your main objective will be to work collaboratively with our project teams to deliver exceptional value through the delivery and optimization of our customers’ industrial & mineral processes by design and application of various advanced automation and process control technologies.
The day-to-day operations will include the following:
- Model predictive control, machine learning and data analytics, expert systems
- Design advanced control solutions, including control strategies, and implement our technologies to optimize process plant performance
- Design, test and commission PLC, SCADA and DCS systems
- Lead the team and projects on and off-site from conceptualisation through to completion
- Configure and tune multivariable predictive controller loops parameters
- Work with the client, control specialists, process and instrumentation engineers to optimise the process plants functionality
- Provide commissioning and start-up support
- Evaluate operating processes to identify areas for potential improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, controls, software, computer or process engineering; or engineering physics
- Between 10-12 years’ of industry experience in process control and/or automation design, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Exposure in the Australian mining/mineral processing industry
- Demonstrated experience with a variety of PLC/SCADA and DCS systems from design through to commissioning
