About the Company:
people2people are excited to be collaborating with a global retail giant renowned for its innovation, efficiency, and commitment to excellence. Based out in Marsden Park, they are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic DC Controlling Manager to join their growing team.
The Role:
Reporting to and working closely with the DC Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and communicate strategies collaboratively with the DC management team to achieve goals, focusing on cost management, planning and efficiency.
- Assume responsibility for all financial and operational data related to DC controlling, including the establishment and monitoring of agreed budgets, projects, and KPIs. This encompasses aspects such as cost, service, sustainability, efficiency, productivity, and quality assurance.
- Serve as a reliable backup to the DC Manager, offering strong support and representing them during periods of absence.
- Provide financial and quantitative insights, along with reports and analyses, to support various departments and the management team.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and conduct quality checks on primary cost drivers.
- Identify and propel improvements in DC performance through relevant analyses and reports, outlining potential action plans for enhancing profitability, service levels, efficiency, and overall DC costs.
- Establish a framework and structure for regular business result follow-ups, adhering to global guidelines and meeting reporting needs of DC management, audit routines, and other relevant considerations.
- Assist in contract negotiation, overseeing and initiating tendering processes with external vendors.
- Offer quantitative decision support to the DC management team.
- Supervise, challenge, and validate planning processes.
- Assume responsibilities related to DC Planner duties at Retail DCs of all sizes.

Qualifications:
- Effective communication and adaptive approach in various situations.
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel
- Previous Experience in similar role or Procurement/Demand Planning Role is beneficial
- Previous Experience in SAP is desired but not essential as training can also be provided
