Experience with catering is highly regarded, and the suitable applicant must hold a current driver's license.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Cook / Chef to join our team, the role is a full-time salary position. If you are looking for more of a work life balance this is a great opportunity. The hours will be mainly weekdays Monday to Friday and require early morning starts from 5:30am and very few evenings. Some weekends will also be required depending on catering bookings. You will be required to prepare food items for our counter, cafe menu, catering and grazing menus, basic baking of things like brownie and cookies, as well as stock control and some cleaning. An eye for detail with food presentation and portioning is essential.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A passion for food and presentation
- A keen desire to use fresh, quality produce
- Excellent team work and an upbeat personality
- A willingness to clean and maintain high standards of hygiene
- Min 3 + years' experience in commercial food preparation
- Chef qualifications highly regarded but not essential
- Catering and events experience is preferred
