  • Location: Toowoomba Aged Care Facility 
  • Remuneration: Attractive Hourly Rate + 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in our BlueCare team

This is a great opportunity for a Cook or highly experienced kitchen hand aiming to restore their work life balance and gain employment in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries with the following task: 

  • Prepare, cook and serve food in adherence with dietary requirements with a strong focus on food safety standards.
  • Support senior hospitality staff members with menu design and implementation,
  • Promote quality standards and maintain service with standard operating procedures.

What makes a difference for us? 

As a Cook, you’ll take pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.

You will have proven experience in safe food preparation, storage and delivery, a clear understanding of WHS, be confident in medium-high volume meal preparation and demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent skills from previous experience
  • Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of Australian food and beverage standards
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
