THURGOONA COUNTRY CLUB RESORT requires a seasoned Cook (DEMI) to work in its busy establishment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years commercial cookery experience
- Some supervisory experience is desirable
- Trade certificate in Commercial Cookery or above is desirable or suitable on the job training
The role;
- Assisting the Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Assisting with budgeting, cost control and stock take
- Providing supervision of trainee/apprentices
- Preparing and cooking off all food stuff and menu items
- Ensuring that the meals are prepared, produced, presented and served to the highest possible standards
- Working in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Checking deliveries as per order sheets
- Contribute to the planning and development of recommendations for improved work procedures
- Handle complaints and customer suggestions in a professional manner
- Upholding and maintain correct standards of hygiene and safety
- Undertake as required, training which may be deemed necessary
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen crew and other members of staff
- Any additional duties associated with the kitchen or food production as directed by the Chefs or management.
Full-time position provided with a guaranteed base Annualised Salary + super.
