We require a cook:
• Permanent full time position
• 38 hours per week
• $55,000 per year + superannuation
• City location, close to public transport
You will be required to maintain and be continually assessed on the following duties for your role:
Assisting in planning menu items
Ensures quality and presentation of all foods
Training and developing junior sous and line chefs
Estimate food and labour costs in consultation w managers
Preparing Food
Cooking food
Implements rosters within a strict budget
Receiving & storing food stocks, kitchen supplies and equipment
Assisting in the ordering and controlling of stock
Discussing food preparation issues with managers
Direct report to the General Manager
Assisting in planning, preparation and operation of all External Catering
Maintaining Quality and Presentation standards
Implementing systems & procedures
Implementing and Inspecting hygiene of workplace
Maintaining & establishing safe & secure workplace
To fit into the role, you must have:
• Minimum 2 years experience working in the role
• Hold a Trade Certificate
• Be reliable
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work alone or in a small team
• Be able to add value to existing offering
